Commercial Field Sales Representative

Job Summary

The Commercial Field Sales Representative is a goal oriented and driven individual responsible for offering and selling pest control solutions that best fit our customers’ needs. The Commercial Field Sales Representative is one of the primary roles in the Commercial Sales Team and is one of the key contributors to driving the growth of the Commercial Sales team and the overall growth of the company. The Commercial Field Sales Representative will be responsible for managing incoming leads that come through our Customer Service call-center, generating new leads, and delivering on sales goals throughout the year. The Commercial Field Sales Representative will be tasked with meeting customers and introducing them to the Exodus Way of performing pest control and then providing them with a solution that best fits their needs. Service offerings will be developed with an emphasis on long term relationship building to ensure reoccurring business. Though primarily focused on reoccurring commercial sales, the Commercial Field Sales Representative will also be tasked with offering one-time services, residential services, landlord, and residential property management pest control solutions as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Manage incoming leads and generate new leads using current customer database, personal network, and any other lead generating software/programs that are already or may become available
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Be disciplined in setting appointments, preparing quotes, and following up with customers
  • Evaluate/analyze customer needs by meeting with customers (whether on site, by phone, or zoom conferences) and touring their facilities
  • Provide appropriate and honest solutions to customers’ pest control needs
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of The Exodus Way of performing pest control and communicate this methodology to our customers
  • Identify potential areas to upsell for a more comprehensive service offering whether to new or existing customerd
  • Maintain and expand upon existing customer base with an emphasis on new business
  • Work with Commercial Sales Manager and Commercial Sales Team to strategically identify areas of focus (i.e. property types, geographical areas, etc.)
  • Provide necessary feedback to Sales Manager on ways to improve the Sales Process
  • Meet/Exceed all sales related goals and requirements as put forth by Commercial Sales Manager
  • Reliability and Attendance – begin work on time and conform to work hours and schedule

Requirements/Qualifications for Commercial Field Sales Representative

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 3-5 years Sales/Sales Related Experience in Pest Control or similar field
  • Pest Control Technician experience preferred but not required
  • Pest Control Technician’s License (7A/7F) preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of Pest Control Industry
  • Ability to overcome objections and not take rejection personally
  • Other Skills required:
    • Customer Service skills a must
    • Ability to diagnose customer problems and then offer solutions accordingly
    • Basic computer, keyboarding, mobile/tablet skills
    • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
    • Able to multi-task, respond to rapid change; organize, prioritize, and perform work with minimal supervision
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Drivers license, clean driving record
